Amla – also known as Indian gooseberry – is a small, greenish-yellow fruit with firm flesh and an intensely tart flavor. It has been valued in Ayurvedic cuisine and traditional medicine for centuries. Amla is excellent for chutneys, juices, pickles, desserts, powdered preparations, or as a fresh ingredient in vitamin-rich recipes.
